Shawn Thomson-Palermo

Owner

Shawn Thomson-Palermo is the author of the RMC success story that began when she purchased the original Aspen operation in 1989. Since then, Shawn has opened ten additional divisions covering eight states and two countries, and has grown the once fledgling company into the largest privately owned, and one of the most respected, Destination Management Companies in the U.S.  Shawn is remarkably innovative, consistently finds unique ways to offer solutions, and cites passion and people as her tenets for success. "I love the people I work with in my company first and foremost," she says. "I hire for talent, set lofty goals, and then allow these leaders to forge their own paths to success. It's a formula that has worked extraordinarily well.”  RMC recently received Colorado’s Top Company Hospitality Award, coming on the heels of prestigious recognition as one of the Top 25 DMC’s in the World for the third consecutive year. 2014 also saw Shawn receive the Top 25 Woman Owned Business Award for the third year running. Shawn lives in Snowmass with her husband Nick, and her daughter Sarah heads up RMC’s Creative Development division from the Park City Office.
